On the 13th of March 2015, Cyclone Pam wreaked havoc across Vanuatu. The category 5 storm ripped through the country, destroying homes and schools, and left many lives in ruins.
It’s the worst disaster to ever hit Vanuatu, affecting 82,000 children.
UNICEF’s responded by providing clean water, vaccines and shelters for thousands of families. We also helped get children’s lives back to normal by building tents to act as temporary learning spaces, as well as by providing school bags and learning materials.
